Outstanding Performers

Resean and Xantiago were selected as TMEA Region 23 Junior High Region Orchestra members. These students, through their tireless efforts, competed in a very competitive and rigorous audition process back in mid-October against other students on their respective instruments including all of Katy ISD, Alief ISD, and Houston ISD. Congratulations!

These students have donated their time to teach peers in other ensembles their music to be prepared for future concerts. They have done student peer to peer teaching after school as well as during extended learning time. Thanks for being role models to your peers!

These students were invited to perform the Star-Spangled Banner at the Katy ISD Board of Trustees meeting October 30th. They did a fantastic job performing unconducted and from memory. Absolutely amazing leadership and ownership of the program and their craft!

These students help with everything that there is in orchestra and fine arts. Students have helped with tuning instruments in the morning, stapling and hole punching for me and other fine arts teachers, mentor teaching beginners, peer teaching students in other ensembles, and so much more. Thank you so much for all that you do!
